Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund is all set to get a new jersey number after wearing 11 in his maiden season.

  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The Danish forward was handed the number 11 shirt upon his arrival at Old Trafford last summer from Atalanta. However, he is now all set to receive the number 9 jersey which was earlier donned by Anthony Martial. With the French attacker now out of the club, Hojlund is set to be handed his number, according to The United Stand.

  Some of the club's finest players in history have donned the number 9 shirt in the past including legends like Sir Bobby Charlton, Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. After a lukewarm start to his career in the Premier League, Hojlund will now aim to improve his performance in his second season to live up to the legacy of his new number.

  With the Denmark international getting a new number, the latest signing Joshua Zirkzee is expected to inherit the number 11 shirt. He had previously worn numbers 9, 10 and 11 while playing for Dutch youth teams.
