Liverpool failed to win in the third consecutive English Premier League match on Sunday, losing 1-0 away to fellow top four hopefuls Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The exertions of the Reds’ impressive UEFA Champions League run is clearly taking a toll on their league form with Jurgen Klopp’s side having not won in the top-flight since 14th April.
That form means fifth-placed Chelsea are now just three points behind with a game in hand on the Anfield outfit, who have just one game left to play before their mega clash against Real Madrid.
Fans were frustrated with the result and performance, particularly criticising defender Nathaniel Clyne, who struggled with the pace and intensity of the occasion before being substituted off on the hour mark.
That’s understandable considering he has missed the vast majority of the season through injury, but his performance was enough for some supporters to exclaim he should be sold this summer.
Is he of the quality Liverpool require?
