Tottenham are thought to be ready to make a move for Malaga’s highly-rated striker Salomon Rondon according to The Daily Mail.
The Venezuela international has impressed for the Andalusian side, and played a key role in Manuel Pelegrini’s side finishing fourth in La Liga last season.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both thought to be monitoring the South American forward’s situation in Spain, with a big-money move to England being touted.
However, with Malaga reportedly in financial difficulty, Spurs are eager to enter the race for Rondon’s capture.
Andre Villas-Boas needs to sign a new striker and although a deal to bring Emmanuel Adebayor to White Hart Lane permanently is close, another attacker may well be on the Portuguese trainer’s hitlist.
Any move for the 22-year-old marksman could well see Spurs fringe attacker Giovani Dos Santos go the other way.
